Indian power-hitting batsman KL Rahul has the record for fastest fifty in IPL when he was playing for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2018. Later he scored 659 runs in a total of 14 matches he played.
Sunil Narine (15 balls), Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore, IPL 2017
Second, on our list is Sunil Narine who made a record of fastest 50 in IPL in 15 balls when he was playing as the opening batsman for KKR. It was his first time playing as the opening batsman for KKR and he made good use of it.

Ishan Kishen recently made his place in the list of top 10 fastest fifties in IPL history with hitting 84* off 32 balls. And now he holds this record jointly with Suresh Raina. Ishan as an opener performed best and retained his position.
Chris Gayle (17 balls), Royal Challengers Bangalore vs. Pune Warriors, IPL 2013
This fastest 50 of Chris Gayle is worth mentioning in IPL history. It is when he scored 175* off 66 balls and made fielders run in the field for a catch out or to at least block the fours and sixes. But, it was Chris’s day. His first 50 was over 17 balls. This massive score helped RCB win the match.
Hardik Pandya (17 balls), Mumbai Indians vs. Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL 2019
Hardik Pandya made his first fastest fifty in IPL 2019 while playing for the MI. MI had to chase down a score of 232 when Hardik walked in after 4 wickets and scored a whirlwind 91* off 34 balls. Though MI lost that match, Pandya’s performance earned him the badge of fastest 50 in IPL history.

Kieron Pollard became the second player to score the fastest fifty in IPL 2021. He smashed his 50 over 17 deliveries and then went on to score an unbeaten 87, helping MI win the match on the loss of 4 wickets.
Adam Gilchrist (17 balls), Deccan Chargers vs. Delhi Daredevils, IPL 2009
In 2009, Gilchrist set the record for the fastest 50 in IPL’s two-year history. While, playing in the top order, Adam smashed a 50 in 17 balls and scored a total of 85 runs before getting out. But, his brilliant performance sealed the victory for Deccan Chargers.
Chris Morris (17 balls), Delhi Daredevils vs. Gujrat Lions, IPL 2016
Last but not least is the fastest 50 by Delhi Daredevils batsman Chris Morris. He set this record in only 17 balls while playing against Gujrat Lions and he scored an unbeaten 82 during this match.
